Since 1868 with more than a century of experience, Joselito has been guarding the secret of a tradition handed down for six generations with a single mission: to make the best ham in the world.
Joselito selects the purest genetic traits and raises its own animals, which in turn pass a strict quality selection.
Joselito pigs live in complete freedom in their own natural ecosystem, the pasture, for about 2 years, feeding mainly on acorns and grass and have about 3 hectares of land each. For the first 6 to 8 months, the pigs are suckled by their mothers and then eat almost exclusively grass during their youth.
Only for the last 6 to 8 months does their diet consist mainly of acorns, which grow on the centuries-old holm, cork and oak trees in their own pastures-an all-natural diet responsible for the health-beneficial quality that Joselito hams and other products can provide.
